Non-Dual Awareness

A relaxed approach focused on discovering and cultivating non-dual awareness and understanding the nature of consciousness. Originally discovered via Sam Harris' Waking Up, also practiced with Mingyur Rinpoche and Stephen Bodian. An insight practice designed to help discover the nature of mind and reality.

Since 2024

Jhānas

Meditative states that allow me to conjure up feelings of joy, happiness, contentment, and deep relaxation on-demand, not conditioned by "causes." This has been a life-changing discovery, guided by the awesome folks at Jhourney.

Since late 2024

Inquiry Practices

Guided inquiry practices to break the fetters, starting with fetters 1-6. Working with Michael Stroe as well as self-guiding inquiry and releasing practices from The Work of Byron Katie, The Sedona Method, and Joe Hudson's Art of Accomplishment.

Waking Up App

Sam Harris' Waking Up app. The introduction course is awesome, with tons of great daily meditations from Sam and other teachers. Stephen Bodian has a Direct Approach series which includes one of my favorite guided meditations.

Mingyur Rinpoche

Meditation classes and retreats, some online, some in-person. Start with The Joy of Living, and if called, follow it with Path of Liberation.

School for Awakening

Stephen Bodian's School for Awakening.

Jhourney Retreat

I strongly recommend taking a retreat from the folks at Jhourney. They follow a scientific mindset approach to discovering and cultivating the jhānas.

Working with Michael Stroe

I strongly recommend working with Michael Stroe. Michael is incredibly kind and generous with his time. It's possible to do these inquiry practices alone, but I've found it helpful to have a weekly session to advance my practice.

Art of Accomplishment

Art of Accomplishment has excellent material for inquiry, emotional awareness, and relating. Their podcast is great, and they offer courses as well. I recommend starting with The Connection Course.

How to See Through the Self-Illusion

Christiane Michelberger

For fetter 1-3 practices. The website Simply The Seen also has great materials and self-guidance outlines for the later fetters.

The Work of Byron Katie

Her website has plenty of materials including downloadable worksheets. The mobile app is also handy. I've also liked her books, particularly Loving What Is and A Mind at Home with Itself.

The Sedona Method

Hale Dwoskin

A releasing practice that pairs well with inquiry and emotional untangling.
